What People Say
Most Liked
Patrons rave about the juicy, indulgent burgers that are prepared fresh—there's a definite buzz around the mushroom Swiss burger and the bacon cheeseburger. Reviews often highlight the thick-cut French fries, which many claim are among the best they’ve had in the area. Customer service receives high marks too; the staff fosters a friendly and fun environment, drawing you back for another visit.
The sweet tea here is iconic, with one regular suggesting it could mend family feuds! Desserts, particularly the peach cobbler, have also garnered praise, often disappearing quickly from tables. The drive-through adds convenience for those on the go, and many appreciate the quick service that doesn’t compromise on quality, leaving satisfied customers time and again.
Most Disliked
While the burgers generally earn high praise, a few guests report that their meat is occasionally cooked more than requested—medium rare orders sometimes arrive well-done. Although this can be a letdown, the flavor still shines through. Some visitors mentioned longer waits during lunch rushes, especially on Thursdays, which can temper the experience if you're in a hurry.
The lobby sometimes remains closed, leading patrons to rely solely on the drive-through, which might prevent the casual dining experience some hope for. Additionally, a small number of reviews hint at unfriendly encounters with staff, particularly regarding special requests like ketchup quantity in bags—though most find the staff charming and humorous.

Live literally a step away from here and can't believe it took me so long to come here! The burgers and fries are addictive from my one visit so far and the staff is super nice!

They have the best French fries that I think I've had stateside. A thicker cut is always better than a shoestring in my opinion and these are perfect. My burger was over by a lot, I asked for medium rare & got done. but it was still delicious. I've never had a mushroom swiss with lettuce & pickle before. I ended up pulling them off. Again a personal preference for vegetables on burgers. The peach cobbler with ice cream was so good we ate the whole thing which we seldom do with sweets.

Big Chew Chew’s Burgers – Where Taste Buds Go to Party! If you’re not eating at Big Chew Chew’s, are you even living?! This place is straight-up burger heaven. The patties are juicy, the buns are soft like clouds, and the flavor? UNMATCHED. Every burger is built like it’s auditioning for a movie—stacked, sizzling, and stealing the show. The vibes in there are always top-tier. You walk in and instantly feel like family—loud, hungry family. The fries are crispy perfection, and don’t even get me started on the tea. Ashley deserves a trophy, a raise, and her own holiday because she makes the best sweet tea in the game. Like, sweet tea so good it could solve arguments. Now, real talk—funny sidenote: watch out for the little short lady behind the counter. Yeah, her. She’s gonna give you a hard time, especially when you say, “No ketchup in the bag, please.” Next thing you know, you’re swimming in 30 packets like it’s a condiment tsunami. She does it on purpose. She knows what she’s doing. But she’s cool though—just a lovable menace. Bottom line: Big Chew Chew’s ain’t just a burger spot, it’s a whole experience. Come hungry, leave happy… and maybe with a pocket full of ketchup.

Great old fashioned burgers and fries. Service was perfect. Lobby is closed currently, so I went through the drive thru. I got a cheeseburger, fries, Pepsi, and snow cone. The snow cone and soft drinks come with a thick, crushed ice. Very good! Loved the burger. The fries were hot and fresh. Generous portions ( I upsized).

We happened to see this place from the road as we were driving around running some errands, and the big, bright mural on the side of the building grabbed our attention. Being avid hamburger fans, we knew we had to try it out! We noticed the cleanliness of the place, and the cheerfulness of the staff as soon as we walked in the door. The menu prices were quite reasonable. The hot, freshly cooked food was a treat to our taste buds. You could tell the meat was fresh. No pre-made frozen patties here! SCORE!!! We were pleased with our meal and are certain we will become regulars, as soon as we get moved into the area. Highly recommend their burgers!

A friend and I were riding around and we found the restaurant. We decided to stop by there and every time I'm in Belton I stop by Big Chew's. I always get a burger and fries with a shake. Everything is made to perfection.
